The Second Time Around - renewal after age 70

Published December 2023. Co-Authored by Joyce and Barry Hopewell.

The Age Progression of Bruno & Louise Huber’s astrological psychology tells us that age 70 and beyond is a favourable time for growth and renewal of our lives, as we begin to circle around the Life Clock of the birth chart for the second time. From birth, we move around the natal chart in psychological and developmental steps and stages, each taking 6 years. We develop, grow and learn from our life experiences at each step of the way.

On reaching age 70, and depending on how self- aware we are, we have the opportunity to move beyond the limitations which we may have had since childhood or our adult years. The research documented in the book is aimed to validate the theories of the Hubers, regarding the Life Clock and the realities of life at age 70+.

We include the real life stories of astrological practitioners and non-astrologers, including their reflections relating their charts to key psychological events of their lives.

The book is available from Amazon and booksellers.

Piercing the Eggshell by Joyce and Barry Hopewell

Published November 2020, this is a biography of Bruno and Louise Huber who developed astrological psychology as a method of personal growth and spiritual awareness.

Their story tells of how they met, married and helped found the Arcane School in Geneva, and how their lives and work with astrological psychology were influenced by the work of Italian psychologist Robert Assagioli, who founded psychosynthesis, known as a "psychology with a soul".

Bruno and Louise worked and trained with Assagioli in Florence at his institute, and with his blessing, they developed their method of astrological psychology, which is underpinned with spiritual philosphy of psychosynthesis.

The Cosmic Egg Timer
by Joyce Hopewell, co-authored with Richard Llewellyn

This offers an immediate and illuminating approach to using astrology and is suitable for the enthusiastic beginner as well as the professional astrologer, psychologist or counsellor seeking a fresh approach to working with clients.
Astrological Psychology combines the best of traditional astrology with modern growth psychology, and The Cosmic Egg Timer provides the best introduction to what has become known as the "Huber Method", based on the work of Swiss astrologers/psychologists Bruno and Louise Huber.

The Living Birth Chart by Joyce Hopewell

This is a deeper, more practical work book, based on my many years of experience in facilitating popular workshops. It offers insights into the full power of the Huber Method and gives a feel for its practical use.

Plenty of hand-on exercises are included, together with lots of examples from charts, enabling the reader to experience the approach for themselves and develop their own understanding.

Aspect Patterns in Colour by Joyce Hopewell

This book is a "must" for those wanting a quick reference volume on aspect patterns, which can provide a key to understanding inner motivation.

The 40+ aspect patterns identified by the Hubers are describe in easy-to-understand terms, along with a sample chart and interpretation for each one, all fully illustrated in colour.
